According to multiple cryptocurrency communities, Layer 1 blockchain 0G (Zero-G) has reportedly extended the lock-up period for tokens allocated to early investors by one year beyond the original plan, without obtaining investor consent. Cryptocurrency investor Kirby Ong disclosed an email received from 0G, stating, "It seems the time has come for 0G to truly converge to '0'." According to the email, the unlock start date for early investor allocated 0G tokens has been changed to September 22, 2027, with 1/24 of the tokens unlocking each month over the subsequent 24 months. However, an official announcement from 0G has not yet been confirmed. In this regard, Rowna, the operator of the cryptocurrency Telegram channel 'Rowna's Investment Room,' pointed out, "I heard that 0G only sought consent from some VCs and did not consult the majority of individual investors before unilaterally extending their token lock-up by one year. As this lock-up extension was made unilaterally, investor dissatisfaction is inevitable."
