Amid the virtual difficulty of the Clarity Act passing the Senate, legislative procedures related to cryptocurrency continue in the U.S. House of Representatives, according to Eleanor Terrett, host of the American podcast 'Crypto in America.' According to Terrett, the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee will mark up the 'Digital Asset Tax Clarity Act (H.R.10357),' which deals with the digital asset tax system, on the 16th (local time). At the same time, the House Financial Services Committee will also begin marking up multiple bills, including the 'American Reserves Modernization Act (H.R.8957),' a bill related to strategic Bitcoin reserves introduced by Representative Nick Begich. A markup is a procedure in which a committee deliberates on a bill, reviews amendments, and then decides whether to refer it to the full session.
