Jake Chervinsky, CEO of Hyperliquid (HYPE) Policy Center (HPC), pointed out that while Bitcoin (BTC) perpetual futures are permitted on centralized exchanges (CEX) located in the U.S., there are still no clear regulatory standards for decentralized platforms like Hyperliquid. According to Wu Blockchain, he stated in an interview with The Rollup on the 7th, "The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has approved Coinbase and Kraken to support BTC perpetual futures trading, but this is a measure limited to centralized exchanges. It is still unclear what regulations apply in the U.S. to on-chain markets where anyone can participate, like Hyperliquid. The important thing is not just to allow perpetual futures trading on existing centralized exchanges, but to also enable their operation in the U.S. on on-chain markets."
