Japanese-listed BTC strategic accumulation company Metaplanet announced that it will establish Metaplanet Asset Management Asia, a wholly-owned subsidiary, in Hong Kong. The initial capital contribution is $1 million, and the establishment of the corporation is scheduled to be completed by September 2026. The subsidiary will operate in cooperation with Metaplanet Asset Management, which was previously established in Miami, USA. It will be responsible for risk management tasks such as executing asset buying and selling transactions in Asian time zones and monitoring positions and market movements. Its main products include Bitcoin, Bitcoin-related stocks, and preferred securities issued by Bitcoin financial strategy companies. Metaplanet is the world's third-largest BTC holder among listed companies.
