Hong Kong Commercial Daily reported that Qiu Dat-gun (邱达根), a member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council's Technology and Innovation Functional Constituency, put forward a policy proposal to develop Hong Kong into an international digital asset hub by 2032. The proposal includes establishing a 'Hong Kong version of Web3 Pink Sheet' for Web3 financial early investment channels and over-the-counter financing, activating Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization and tokenized stocks. It also proposes establishing an independent digital asset department within the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), expanding the use cases for cryptocurrency ETFs and Hong Kong dollar stablecoins, and building integrated regulatory and compliance infrastructure.
