CryptoSlate reported that compatibility issues with some infrastructure have been raised ahead of the mainnet implementation of Solana (SOL)'s v1 transaction format, which expands the maximum transaction capacity from the existing 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes. RPC clients or indexers that have not been updated to support v1 may encounter errors or cease to function when reading blocks containing v1 transactions. While v1 has currently been applied to the testnet and devnet, it has not yet been activated on the mainnet as of September 4th.
