According to Cointelegraph, Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress, organizations affiliated with Fairshake, a political action committee (PAC) sponsored by the cryptocurrency industry, invested a total of over $1.5 million in advertisements supporting candidates for House and Senate elections in Florida, Alaska, and Wyoming. Many of the supported candidates are individuals who voted in favor of the CLARITY Act in Congress. Previously, Protect Progress spent over $2 million supporting incumbent Shri Thanedar in the Michigan Democratic House primary, but Thanedar was defeated by State Representative Donovan McKinney.
