Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA), in cooperation with the National Police Agency, has requested the Japan Virtual and Crypto Assets Exchange Association (JVCEA) to strengthen measures to prevent cryptocurrency-related fraud, local media Coinpost reported. Financial authorities newly proposed 11 countermeasures, including a pre-registration system for withdrawal addresses and enhanced transaction monitoring. This measure was developed in response to the rapidly increasing damage from investment fraud and romance scams via social media.
