While the U.S. Senate has not yet decided on the CLARITY Act, CoinDesk stated that "negotiations are ongoing regarding provisions such as combating illicit finance, agriculture-related clauses, and preventing conflicts of interest for public officials in cryptocurrency, and if the issues are resolved, there is still a possibility of the bill passing in September," and presented three possible future scenarios as follows:
-The Senate extends this week's session to proceed with a procedural vote
-The bill is re-discussed in the September session after the August recess
-The bill fails to pass this year, and discussions are postponed until after the midterm elections
