According to a report by Axios, citing sources, the United States, Iran, and Oman are reportedly close to reaching an interim agreement for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The US side plans to officially announce this on the 6th (local time). This preliminary agreement is expected to reflect some of Iran's demands regarding jurisdiction over passage through the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran did not possess before the war. According to two regional sources, the agreement currently under discussion establishes a 60-day interim regime for the Strait of Hormuz, with the possibility of extension.
