According to Bloomberg, Vlad Tenev, CEO of Robinhood, a free stock trading app popular among individual investors in the U.S., stated on YouTube on Thursday (local time) that the company is "working to expand its cryptocurrency trading platform and restore its reputation damaged by the GameStop incident." He added, "Robinhood plans to expand its cryptocurrency services and is focusing on enhancing security before introducing wallet functionality." He also said, "We are accelerating the development of related services and may add new coins." In February, Robinhood announced, "We understand the community's needs regarding wallets and how they operate," and "We are conducting research for cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal features, including Dogecoin (DOGE). We will provide updates on any related additions."
