CoinDesk reported that cryptocurrency custody provider BitGo will replace its exclusive cross-chain infrastructure provider for Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) from the existing LayerZero (ZRO) to Chainlink (LINK) CCIP. With this infrastructure replacement, approximately $15 billion worth of WBTC will be transferred from LayerZero to Chainlink. This is a security enhancement measure taken after the $292 million hacking incident that occurred earlier this year on KelpDAO's LayerZero-based bridge.
