The Block reported that Fortitude, Digital Currency Group (DCG)'s Zcash (ZEC) mining subsidiary, acquired a 12.5MW mining facility in Prosser, Nebraska, USA. The actual cash outlay for this acquisition, which includes land, buildings, and a substation, was approximately $4.7 million. Prosser is Fortitude's third facility in Nebraska, and the company owns over 60MW of power across 7 sites in 4 states. The power cost for the Prosser facility is estimated at approximately $0.045 per kWh, and the company explained that this will allow them to lower mining costs to approximately $40 per ZEC.
