Cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturer Trezor has warned users not to share their recovery seeds with anyone, stating that phishing attempts exploiting the Coldcard security vulnerability are increasing. Trezor emphasized via X, "Recovery seeds must be entered directly into the Trezor device when recovering a wallet, and we will never ask users for their recovery seeds under any circumstances. Do not follow wallet transfer instructions requested via email, message, or phone." Trezor added that it was not affected by the recent Coldcard security incident. Meanwhile, according to Galaxy Research, a total of 1,596 BTC has been stolen from 7,300 addresses due to the Coldcard incident so far, and the scale of the theft could increase to a maximum of 2,055 BTC.
