An analysis has emerged suggesting that Flare (FLR) is showing a price trend similar to XRP's before its surge in 2017. However, a similar chart does not guarantee the same rate of increase.
According to TheCryptoBasic on July 31st (local time), Flare has shown a pattern of continuously lower highs amidst a long-term downtrend. This is evaluated as being similar to the price structure XRP formed before it began its massive rise in 2017.
XRP entered a bear market after rising to $0.0435 in December 2013. Subsequently, its rebound highs dropped to $0.028 in December 2014 and $0.0091 in December 2015. XRP fell to $0.005 in March 2017 before soaring to $3.31 in January 2018. The increase rate reached 66,100% in less than a year.
Flare is also forming lower highs, similar to XRP. Flare rose to approximately $0.048 in February 2024 before undergoing a correction. Subsequently, its rebound high only reached $0.036. In the next rebound, it only rose to $0.0287 in September 2025. The price has fallen to approximately $0.006 as the long-term downtrend continues.
Although the two cryptocurrencies have formed similar charts, the market environment has changed significantly. The number of cryptocurrencies has surged since 2017, intensifying competition to secure investment funds. For Flare to achieve the same 66,100% increase as XRP, a massive influx of capital would be required. This is why it is difficult to determine the possibility of an increase solely based on chart patterns.
TheCryptoBasic calculated that even if Flare recorded only a quarter of XRP's increase rate, it could rise by approximately 16,500%. Based on a simple calculation from $0.006, the Flare price would reach approximately $1. This figure is a hypothetical scenario applying XRP's past increase rate and is not a confirmed price prediction.
