As Bitcoin (BTC) began to give back its July gains, a machine learning prediction system forecast that the downtrend would continue until the end of August, pushing the price below $60,000.
According to crypto media outlet Finbold on August 3 (local time), an artificial intelligence (AI)-based machine learning algorithm, which analyzed various technical indicators such as moving averages (MA), Relative Strength Index (RSI), and oscillators, predicted Bitcoin's average price to be $59,981 by August 31. This is 3.87% lower than the price at the time of writing.
Among the eight models included in the prediction system, DeepSeek presented the most pessimistic outlook. DeepSeek expected Bitcoin to fall by 8.17% to $57,300. Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5 presented a 6.25% drop to $58,500, making it the second most bearish model.
On the other hand, OpenAI's GPT-5.7 Luna predicted Bitcoin to trade at $61,800 on August 31. This is 0.96% lower than the price at the time of writing, essentially a near-flat outlook. GPT-5.6 Sol presented a 2.48% drop to $60,850, making it the second most optimistic model.
Bitcoin showed a significant recovery in July, rising 1.70% over the last 30 days to $62,396. Part of the rally stemmed from expectations for the U.S. crypto market structure bill, the Clarity Act, which was initially expected to be voted on August 3. However, after surpassing $66,160 on July 22, BTC failed to sustain its upward momentum and turned downwards.
With the Clarity Act vote not included in Monday's schedule, uncertainty surrounding the bill's passage before the midterm elections has again increased. Despite Bitcoin's relative strength in July, it has fallen 28.62% since the beginning of 2026 and is still approximately 50% below its all-time high (ATH).
