The Shiba Inu (Shiba Inu, SHIB) ecosystem has begun preparations to relaunch its temporarily suspended game and metaverse projects. With a key official stating that both projects have prepared major updates, the ecosystem's reorganization efforts are gaining momentum again in 2026.

According to crypto media outlet U.Today on July 9 (local time), Shiba Eternity game advisor Mazrael stated on X (formerly Twitter) that the Shiba Eternity and Shiba Inu metaverse projects were temporarily suspended. Regarding the two projects, he said, "Several tasks are underway," and "Both the metaverse project and Shiba Eternity have many updates prepared for relaunch."

Shiba Eternity was first launched in October 2022 as a free mobile collectible card game. The Shiba Inu development team later built and tested a Web3 version with a Play-to-Earn (P2E) model on the Shibarium network. The private beta test for Shiba Eternity Web3 was conducted from Q3 to Q4 2024.

The relaunch date for Shiba Eternity and the metaverse has not yet been disclosed. However, Mazrael hinted that development work for both projects is continuing internally. Previously, he stated, "When 'Shiba: The Metaverse,' Shiba Inu's existing metaverse project, returns, it is expected to be accessible through the Shib.io website, not a separate domain."

Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya also announced in a community letter at the end of 2025 that projects, systems, and procedures that were not profitable or had not reached breakeven would be suspended or terminated. He explained that Shiba Inu's vision "has not disappeared but has merely gone through difficult times," adding, "In 2026, we will focus on recovery, concentration, and building a long-term sustainable foundation centered on technology."
