Investigation results from Hanwha Solutions' application… "Continuous monitoring of domestic market disruption by low-priced imports"
Anti-dumping duties exceeding 31% will be imposed for the next five years on 'Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) paste resin' imported from Europe, including Germany and France.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced on the 10th that it has decided to impose anti-dumping duties ranging from 25.79% to 31.55% for five years starting August 5th on PVC paste resin from Germany, France, Norway, and Sweden.
This measure is the result of an investigation initiated by Hanwha Solutions Inc., confirming that the domestic industry suffered substantial damage due to the dumping of European products. PVC paste resin, used as a raw material for artificial leather, wallpaper, gloves, etc., will have differentiated tariffs applied depending on the European manufacturer.
A government official stated, "We will continue to monitor whether low-priced imported goods disrupt the domestic market, thereby protecting our industries from dumping practices and fostering a fair competitive environment."
