Key figures connecting the Shiba Inu (SHIB) team and community have successively disappeared, leading to a month-long communication void. With even the most active voice, the Head of Marketing, going silent, community concerns are growing amidst unfinished projects and a sharp decline in token prices.
According to crypto media outlet The Crypto Basic on July 8 (local time), Lucie, the marketing lead for the Shiba Inu ecosystem, has not posted, replied, or reposted on X (formerly Twitter) for a month. Her last activity was on June 9, when she reposted a post by community member Sand announcing the re-enablement of the ShibaSwap website.
Lucie had previously served as a key communication channel between the Shiba Inu team and investors, delivering ecosystem news and addressing community concerns. Regarding SHIB's long-term outlook, she assessed $0.01 as a realistic long-term target and argued that the possibility of $1 should not be ruled out if the ecosystem continues to grow and investors remain patient.
The silence of Shiba Inu's key figures is not limited to Lucie. Lead developer and ambassador Shytoshi Kusama has not posted on X since May 13, and developer Kaal Dhairya also stopped activity after March 12. Kusama previously stated that he is focusing on R. OS, an artificial intelligence project operating outside the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
The team's communication void is extending at a time when the Shiba Inu ecosystem faces several challenges. Some ecosystem projects are still incomplete, and debates surrounding internal disagreements have also grown. SHIB has plummeted in recent months, falling out of the top 30 by market capitalization, and the ecosystem governance token BONE has crashed by 99.89% from its all-time high of $41.67.
The Crypto Basic reported that the prolonged silence of key team members, including Lucie, is increasing the Shiba Inu community's concerns. Investors are awaiting new updates and clear plans for ecosystem development status and future initiatives.
