Mike Selig, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), said, "The U.S. will never issue a CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency)." He emphasized in an interview, "President Trump's digital asset working group is well aware of how dangerous CBDCs are to ordinary Americans who do not want their economic decisions monitored and censored. Under the supervision of the CFTC, the U.S. will never issue a CBDC."
