Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken is reportedly pursuing a European banking license, with Lithuania being considered as the location for obtaining the license, according to CoinDesk. If the plan succeeds, Kraken would become the first cryptocurrency exchange to hold a formal European banking license. However, Kraken has not made an official statement regarding the plan, and the Central Bank of Lithuania also stated that the licensing process for financial market participants is confidential.
