Mike Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Digital and known Bitcoin (BTC) bull, has endorsed former U.S. President Donald Trump's child investment account policy. Galaxy Digital Inc. (GLXY) joined the policy by contributing an additional $1,000, matching the government's subsidy, for employees' children.
According to cryptocurrency media outlet Benzinga on July 7 (local time), Novogratz announced that he would support eligible employees' children's Trump Accounts with an amount equal to the initial $1,000 provided by the federal government. Attending the White House policy launch event, Novogratz stated, "I always look forward to investing in the future. It's a total of $2,000 from the start. This is what it means to access opportunity. I am proud to be part of this historic program."
On July 6, Trump announced that $1,000 would be contributed to each of the first 500,000 Trump Accounts for eligible children born between 2025 and 2028. The policy aims to support children's early participation in the stock market and long-term asset formation, with parents, relatives, and employers also able to contribute additional funds.
Prior to Galaxy Digital, Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase Global, also pledged an additional $1,000 for employees' children. Following Coinbase Global Inc. (COIN), Micron Technology Inc. (MU) committed $250 million, and Dell Technologies Inc. (DELL), SoFi Technologies Inc. (SOFI), and JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) also joined the support policy.
The possibility of Bitcoin being included as an investment in Trump Accounts in the future was also mentioned. When a reporter asked if Bitcoin could be added to Trump Accounts, Trump replied, "Something could happen with that as well."
Galaxy Digital operates businesses in cryptocurrency, blockchain infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing. Novogratz is known as a Bitcoin bull and positively evaluated this support for Trump Accounts as an expansion of long-term investment opportunities.
