The Block reported that two Polymarket traders have filed a lawsuit challenging the platform's decision regarding a bet on MicroStrategy (MSTR)'s predicted Bitcoin sale in May. The two plaintiffs filed a complaint in a New York court on July 3 (local time) against some Polymarket executives, alleging breach of contract and deceptive practices. They had bet 'Yes' on whether MicroStrategy would sell BTC by May 31. MicroStrategy announced that it had sold 32 BTC between May 26 and 31, but Polymarket added a clause requiring public confirmation by the deadline after the bet was placed. Polymarket subsequently ruled the bet 'No' on the grounds that MicroStrategy's announcement date was after May 31. The plaintiffs claim that the post-hoc change in conditions violated the platform's core terms and are seeking damages. Polymarket has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
