Munhwa Ilbo reported that incidents of seized virtual assets disappearing from police stations are expected to become rare in the future. This is because major virtual asset custody (entrusted storage) companies have largely participated in the police's selection of entrusted service providers. The National Police Agency is currently conducting a proposal evaluation process for the selection of a private entrusted service provider for seized virtual assets, and the provider is expected to be chosen as early as this week. In this 4th bidding round, with the scope of eligible companies expanded and the budget increased by 3.2 times compared to the previous year to 267 million won, seven companies including Bidax, KODA, KDAC, Upbit Custody, Hecto Wallet One, DSRV, and AhnLab Blockchain Company have submitted their bids.
