According to Galaxy Research, 30 BTC (worth $1.9 million) was transferred from a dormant Bitcoin wallet that had been inactive for approximately 15 years. The last time this wallet received BTC was in August 2011. This wallet is one of 39,069 dormant wallets included in an ownership claim lawsuit filed in a New York court by 'Noah Doe (anonymous)' and two Wyoming-based corporations. The plaintiffs are asserting ownership of long-inactive Bitcoin wallets based on New York State's 'Abandoned Property Law' and are requesting that these assets be transferred to them. The list of wallets targeted in this lawsuit also includes addresses presumed to belong to Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto, with the total assets held by these wallets amounting to 3.7 million BTC (worth approximately $234 billion). Alex Thorn, Head of Research at Galaxy Digital, stated that dormant addresses associated with this lawsuit have recently been waking up in succession. In February, only 4,834 BTC moved from 5 addresses, but in June, a total of 17,527 BTC were massively transferred from 31 addresses.
