Tim Draper, a US venture capital giant and Bitcoin maximalist, told Cointelegraph, "The address that previously deposited 1,000 BTC to Coinbase Prime is not mine. I have not touched my Bitcoin holdings." He added, "I maintain my forecast that Bitcoin will reach $250,000 within a year." Earlier this morning, multiple on-chain analysis channels reported that Draper had transferred 1,000 BTC to Coinbase Prime. The basis for this at the time was the on-chain data platform Arkham (ARKM), which tagged the address as 'Tim Draper?'. Cointelegraph explained, "Arkham estimates wallet owners through AI-based entity inference, and the question mark tag indicates low confidence in that estimation." Draper is known to have purchased approximately 29,656 BTC that the U.S. Marshals Service sold through an auction of seized assets from the dark web platform Silk Road in 2014. At the time, the purchase price was $632 per BTC, and the total purchase amount was approximately $18.7 million.
