The Major County Sheriffs of America (MCSA) announced that it has withdrawn its previous opposition to the Clarity Act, a digital asset regulation bill, and has shifted to a neutral stance. In a letter released on the 3rd (local time), MCSA explained the background of its change in position, stating, "Discussions with the administration regarding the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act (BRCA) have clarified the interpretation and application of its provisions." However, MCSA added that "there is still room to further refine the bill to support both responsible innovation and the practical needs of state and local law enforcement authorities," and stated that it would continue consultations with Congress and the administration.
