Marc Zeller, founder of Aave Chan Initiative (ACI), the governance organization for Aave (AAVE), stated via X that while current cryptocurrency market sentiment is at its worst in recent years, it is a good time for developers to focus. He explained, "This is different from the end of the 2021-22 cycle because there are no major accidents like the collapse of FTX, Celsius, or Luna. Instead, it's closer to 2018. A sense of despair is lingering that (cryptocurrency) is no longer cool because token prices are not rising." He added, "Even when people were indifferent, core protocols like MakerDAO (now SKY), Compound (COMP), Synthetix (SNX), and EthLend (now Aave) were born. Even if the market remains cool for a while, it's an exciting time to focus on development and deliver results."
