Upbit's message, encapsulated in a slice of pizza, reached the national training center. Dunamu continued its support for Team Korea by holding a cheering event for the athletes at the Jincheon National Training Center in celebration of 'Upbit Pizza Day'.
According to Dunamu on May 22nd, Dunamu, which operates the digital asset exchange Upbit, held a cheering event providing pizza trucks and beverages to national athletes training at the Jincheon National Training Center in Chungcheongbuk-do. This event was organized to encourage the athletes preparing for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games as an official partner of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee.
Upbit provided pizza and beverages to boost the morale of the athletes, and also delivered educational booklets on basic financial knowledge to help them plan for a stable future. This initiative garnered attention as it expanded the scope of support beyond the digital asset industry to include financial literacy and asset management capabilities.
A photo event was also held on-site. Athletes who participated in the commemorative photo shoot received various commemorative gifts through a lottery, including 'Galaxy Upbit Exclusive', 'Worry Stone' to help calm the mind, and 'Profit-taking Socks' limited to Pizza Day. In particular, at the '2026 Team Korea Trail Running' training held on this day, all top 3 male and female athletes received the Galaxy Upbit Exclusive.
Kim Taek-soo, head of the National Training Center, said, "It was impressive to see the athletes overcoming their struggles and strengthening their resolve for the Asian Games. We will work with sponsors, including Upbit, to create a more substantial training environment." An Upbit official also stated, "As the national digital asset exchange, we prepared this event to support Team Korea. We plan to continue various forms of support to help athletes build a stable foundation both on and off the field."
Meanwhile, Upbit has been continuing its social contribution activities every year on May 22nd, commemorating 'Upbit Pizza Day' since 2019. Recently, it also held a pizza sharing event for children and adolescents at the Seoul Metropolitan Children's Welfare Association and child welfare facilities. Bitcoin Pizza Day originated from the first real-world transaction where pizza was purchased with Bitcoin (BTC) in 2010, and is considered a representative anniversary symbolizing the real-life applicability of digital assets.
