Indian regulators have blocked access to the decentralized prediction market Polymarket as part of a crackdown on online gambling, CoinDesk reported. India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology classified prediction markets as online gambling and issued a cease and desist order to Polymarket. Similar action is expected to be taken against Kalshi in the future.
