US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that he prefers an agreement with Iran, but if an agreement is not reached, the president has other options. He also pointed out that "Hormuz tolls make a diplomatic agreement impossible." Nevertheless, he added, "There have been positive signals in the ongoing negotiations with Iran. However, I don't want to be overly optimistic and will observe what happens in the coming days."
