The wife of The Sandbox (SAND) COO and co-founder Sebastien Borget was reportedly the target of an attempted kidnapping at her home in France. According to The Block, the perpetrators approached disguised as delivery drivers, then, along with masked accomplices, tried to drag the victim into a vehicle. However, the crime failed due to the intervention of neighbors who heard screams. Currently, two suspects have been arrested, and the remaining four are reportedly at large. Police are focusing on the possibility that initial investigations suggest this incident is linked to cryptocurrency-related crime. Meanwhile, 41 cryptocurrency-related kidnappings and attempted kidnappings have been recorded in France this year. There is growing concern in the market that violent crimes targeting cryptocurrency industry figures and their families are rapidly increasing in Europe.
