Brevis (BREV) announced on the 20th (local time) that it has officially launched 'Brevis Vera,' a Zero-Knowledge based media authenticity verification tool. This service, which was released as a demo in March, has now entered its official operational phase and is available to general users. Users can upload photos with C2PA signatures using this tool, edit them, and then download a cryptographic proof file that demonstrates all editing processes are linked to the original capture. The proof is generated through Brevis's zkVM-based proving system, 'Pico Prism 2.0,' and anyone can verify the image and its proof in a browser. In this regard, the Brevis team explained, "Vera solves the problem of media authenticity determination by adopting a 'provenance' approach that tracks creation and editing history, instead of detecting AI content with AI."
