The world's largest stablecoin issuer, Tether, announced on its official blog on the 20th (local time) that "Tether International, a subsidiary, has acquired the stake held by SoftBank as the controlling shareholder of Twenty One Capital, a publicly listed company focused on Bitcoin strategy reserves." Tether explained, "With this acquisition, SoftBank's board members have resigned from the board in accordance with the shareholders' agreement. This transaction demonstrates Twenty One Capital's continuous development in pursuing its long-term Bitcoin reserve strategy. Tether will expand its support to strengthen Twenty One Capital's Bitcoin-centric strategy."
