Reuters reported that the Polish parliament passed a bill on May 15 (local time) to incorporate the European Union's cryptocurrency regulation law, MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets), into its national law. If not implemented by July, local companies will lose their eligibility to provide virtual asset services. However, the possibility of a presidential veto remains. Polish President Karol Nawrocki previously vetoed MiCA alignment target bills in February and last December. Meanwhile, thousands of people are experiencing difficulties with withdrawals due to a suspected $100 million fraud at Zondacrypto, the country's largest exchange, and prosecutors are investigating.
